the new chant "anyone but hussein obama"
yes, things are looking pretty bleak for republicans this time around. the roles are reversed from the last election (anyone but bush) and they're now near desperation of chanting 'anyone but barrack hussein obama' (note use of middle name in desperate attempt to try to scare people).
the iraqi prime minister agrees with obama's 16 month withdrawal plans.
mccain doesn't know where iraq is located:
obama leads mccain 69-21 for single women voters
now mccain's amateur essay wasn't published by the new york times. go to the drudge report to read it and you'll understand why. its just a political commercial and says nothing about what mccain will do.
100 years is as close to permanent as i can possibly imagine. this was what mccain had to say before he flipped and flopped around the issue.
here's the most ridiculous part of it:
someone tell mccain we won the war years ago. there was even a big Mission Accomplished poster up there. the war is over, has been for a long time. this is occupation now. this is something OTHER than a winning/losing situation. you can't lose something you've already won, long ago. surely if you can sit down with the prime minister (of a government we support) and discuss pulling troops out then it can't ever be considered a "loss".
i admit i don't know what this is, but it seems mccain can't tell us either. otherwise his essay would be about his plans for iraq and it would have been published in the times.

"“It’s a serious situation, but there’s a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I’m afraid that it’s a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq-Pakistan border.”"

"No one favors a permanent U.S. presence, as Senator Obama charges."

"I am also dismayed that he never talks about winning the war—only of ending it."
